Onion ~ Globo (Week 19)

Globo is a large straw coloured onion which is tasty raw in salads or cooked. Because of its sheer size, it also makes for an ideal exhibition variety.

They are grown in non-returnable trays containing 144 cells, from which you can expect a minimum of 136 usable organic plug plants per tray.


Please note the sowing cut off for these plants will be Thursday of week number 10, until this date you can order as many trays as you wish. However, after sowing, the number of the trays available will be limited and stock may run out.

Onion ~ Hylander (Week 19)

Hylander is resistant to downy mildew and has mid-late maturity. Attractive brown globe-shaped bulbs are suitable for mid to long-term storage.

They are grown in non-returnable trays containing 144 cells, from which you can expect a minimum of 136 usable organic plug plants per tray.

Deep, dark red colour.

Attractive and versatile red skinned variety (A. cepa type) with mild flavour and crisp texture. Apache has been developed to satisfy the market demand for a red salad onion which is vibrant and also peels. For spring, summer and autumn production.

Very attractive salad onion which does not bulb; strong, upright, dark-green leaves.

Hybrid red onion, which yields slightly less than Red Baron but gives a higher percentage of pre-pack quality.

The plug plants are supplied in non-returnable trays. They content 144 cells, however, on average, 135 usable plants per tray is assumed.
